At Hope for Families, we offer a range of courses and events to help support you on your journey. We’ve listed below some of our upcoming courses and training events, but if there’s something specific you’re looking for, feel free to contact us.

Time Out for Parents - Dads

Sunday evenings 2nd - 30th March 2025, 7:30-9:30pm

This series of 5 workshops is for anyone who is fulfilling the role of dad. The workshops will focus on the importance of dads and help you build an even better relationship with your child.

Our Dads course is facilitated by two of our male volunteers who understand what it’s like to be a Dad.

 

Handling Anger in the Family

Tuesday evenings 11th March - 1st April 2025, 7:30-9:30pm

This 4 session course focuses on how you and your child can understand and manage anger in a safe and healthy way. The course is aimed at parents of children aged 5-19 years old.

 

First Aid for Mental Health training - online

FAA Level 1 (Awareness) Award - Friday 21st March, 9:30am - 2:30pm

FAA Level 2 Award - Friday 21st March, 9:30am - 2:30pm AND Friday 28th March, 9:30 - 2:30pm (you will be required to attend both sessions to gain the Level 2 Award)

Our First Aid for Mental Health training is aimed at professionals working with families, either in a paid or voluntary capacity. Organisational discounts are available, contact us for further details.

 

Left to their Own Devices

Monday 31st March 2025, 7:30-9:30pm

This 2 hour session is designed to help parents and carers to safely navigate the online world with their children. This session is mainly aimed at parents of primary aged children.
